Architect and designer Bobby McAlpine speaks poignantly from his head and heart about our personal search for home—what he calls the quest to match our physical surroundings withour inner beauty. Armed with the perspective of a Southerner and an arsenal of architectural experience, he reveals his
thoughts on grace, the human condition, tenderness of place, and what we know to be true in our lives, all based on the body of work he has created over the last 25 years.

Tickets to this talk are $25 each and include admission to the Antiques Show
and a 9:30 am coffee in the speaker’s honor.

presents a special session on antique furniture. ($5)

Silver: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Saturday, October 17, 11:15 am–12:15 pm

Antique silver expert Mark Antebi (Atlanta Silver and Antiques) offers a workshop on acquiring, collecting, and preserving silver for its beauty as well as its investment potential. ($5)


Art & Artists of South Carolina
Sunday, October 18, 2:00 pm

Tour the exhibition Art & Artists of South Carolina, and see the acquisitions
supported by this year’s Antiques Show. Led by Museum Curator Martha R. Severens,
this free tour is available to the general public. (free)
